Does the thought of wrangling up the family for a portrait session stress you out?
Imagine a day in the future....your now grown children are over for a visit with the grandkids. You're looking through an old photo album of pictures from the time you had family portraits taken.
You have a few laughs about your hairstyles. Your kids tease you about still owning the same clothing.
But then the magic happens.
Suddenly, one of your children comments on a moment they remember when a particular photo was taken. You were chasing him and then scooped him up in your arms. He always felt so safe when you held him.
On the conversation goes, memories almost forgotten are brought to life.
And the joy you feel as a mother is stirred and magnified.
This is what I want to create for you.
Provide you with a detailed Getting Ready Guide
Meet with you for a Planning Consultation to work out all of the details
Offer outfit styling help (if you desire it) - you can text me photos of outfits you're considering
Guide you and your family into natural poses and interactions so you feel comfortable in front of the camera
Help you choose your favorite images and decide the best way to display and enjoy them
A big part of my job is doing all I can to take the stress out of the experience so you can relax and enjoy the time with your family. From the moment we meet to the moment your portraits are ready to display, I'm here for you!
How is this possible, you ask? Here are just a few of the things I do to make everything easy-peasy for you:
If you need a few traditional, posed portraits to send to Grandma, we can certainly take those. However, I believe your family photos will be most meaningful to you now and in years to come if they show who you are as a family.
The Planning Consultation we'll have will allow me to get to know you and your family so we can create images that will be full of your unique personalities.
We'll choose locations, props and activities that will help tell your story so viewing them in the future will transport you back in time. This will also help you pass on your legacy so future generations of your family will not only know what you looked like, but will have a glimpse into your life.
There are so many benefits to having your family portraits printed and displaying them in your home. It can lift your mood, strengthen family bonds and even boost your child's self-esteem. (You can read all about it in this blog post).
I know from experience - both personal and with past clients - that the odds of your portraits ending up in print are much slimmer if I leave you with only the digitals. That's why your portrait session experience with me is not over until you have your portraits in some tangible form.
Whether you prefer filling your walls with photographs, or flipping through albums (or both!), I'll help you choose the best print products for your personal taste and style.
** Please note that for your safety during the pandemic I am conducting sessions outside and consultations via Zoom. Indoor sessions may be considered on a case by case basis depending on the current status of the Covid-19 regulations in our county and our ability to determine the safety of doing so for both myself and your family.
At your Image Reveal and Ordering appointment I'll walk you through choosing your favorite images and deciding the best way to display and enjoy them. While digital images are available, I believe strongly in the importance and value of a printed image and want to make sure you have your images in your hands and on your walls to enjoy every day.
