** In-home sessions will be allowed on a case-by-case basis depending on the current status of the Covid-19 regulations in our county and our ability to determine the safety of doing so for both myself and your family.
After I get to know you and learn about your family I'll have a number of suggestions for you. I love to pick a location that helps tell the story of your life, and will compliment the decor in your home (if you're going to display your portraits on your walls). I have lots of favorite locations for family photography around the Sacramento area, but also love doing the session right in your home.**
Prior to your Planning Consultation I'll send you a Session Prep Guide that included tips on what to wear. During the consultation we'll talk more about it and I'll give you ideas and suggestions. You can also send me snapshots of some of your outfit ideas if you'd like my input.
Toss that worry aside! I always pull out all the stops to make it a fun experience for everyone! And since our focus will be on interaction and connection, not stiff poses and cheesy smiles, it's a super laid-back and enjoyable time for all of us.
I'm not a clock-watcher and sessions with me are laid back and relaxed. I recommend you allow 60-90 minutes and if possible, don't schedule anything right after your session so you won't feel rushed. That being said, I'm also very respectful of your time and if you need to stick to a shorter time frame I'm happy to oblige.
If the forecast shows rain other other inclement weather on the day of your outdoor session we'll reschedule for another day. Or we can also consider an indoor session at your home or renting a studio or other space. We'll keep in contact in the days leading up to your session if the weather's looking bad and make the final call as late as the day before the session if needed.
I understand that life happens, so if you need to reschedule and let me know at least 48 hours prior to your session I will do my best to find another time that works for you. However, if you need to change the session date a second time a rescheduling fee may apply.
If someone in your family is sick, by all means let's find you a new spot on my calendar. Please do not bring sick family members to your session even if they are feeling relatively well.
One to two weeks after your session we will meet virtually for your Image Reveal and Ordering Session. Grab your favorite beverage (and a box of tissues!) and gather the family around the computer to view your slideshow of images. Some families even like to snuggle up on their bed for the event!
I'll then walk you through an easy, no-pressure process to choose your favorite images and how you want to display them.
As soon as your order has arrived and passed my inspection I will deliver your wall art and/or keepsakes to your home.** The time frame may vary depending on what you order, however, most orders should be delivered within 3-4 weeks.
** Home delivery is a complimentary service within 20 miles of Gold River. If you live outside of that area a delivery fee may apply, or other arrangements may be made to pick up your order.
I believe strongly in the importance and value of printed images, so your experience with me is not complete until you have your portraits in your hands and/or on your walls to enjoy every day. That being said, I know how much you want to share your images online. I offer them as a complete digital image gallery and they are priced on a sliding scale based on your print purchase. Once you reach a certain investment amount your complete digital gallery is included with your print order at no extra charge.
